Upgrade your bathroom with the IXL Tastic Ovation 3 in one heater, fan and light
The room: Main ensuite
Score: 28/30 (second place)
“It’s absolute heaven to walk in here and see Emma and Ben embrace the boldness of Daylesford,” says Shaynna Blaze. “This is magical.”
The couple decided not to include a bath in their design, instead opting for a generously sized double shower, with a curved glass shower screen dividing the open wet area from the rest of the space. “Look at the size of this shower,” marvelled Marty Fox. “This is what buyers want.”
Horizontal brass towel rails completed the space, winning praise from the judges, who lauded Emma and Ben for the practicality of the design.
The quality of the work was also a winner, with Marty Fox commenting on the fact that as experienced renovators, Emma and Ben know how to plan and then execute their design to a high standard.
Consistency of tapware helps to make a space look considered and coherent. Choose basin mixers in the same design and profile as the shower taps for a stronger design statement.
The colour that Emma and Ben used in their main ensuite was White Comfort by British Paints.
