Creating the best experience for everyone

We are committed to creating the best and most inclusive customer experience that we can to support our local communities. We have a number of services available that make it easier for everyone to shop in-store.

sensory maps are now available in store maps
Sensory Maps are available at all of our stores. Bunnings store sensory maps support customers with sensory restrictions to help plan their journey before they arrive and navigate our stores. The sensory maps are accessible on each store page.

Bunnings has developed a training program for team members to learn Auslan and New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) through the support of external organisations in Australia and New Zealand. Over 5,000 team members have now completed these programs. You may also notice Auslan or NZSL stickers on the team member name badges, if you do feel free to use sign language with them. Our team may still be learning so please be patient. We hope this provides extra support to our customers who are DEAF who may need this assistance.

At Bunnings we are committed to creating a welcoming workplace and customer experience. We value the diversity and inclusion of our team and aim to reflect the local community we serve at our sites. You may have noticed team members wearing stickers on their name badges. These are designed to support and celebrate our team – and to assist customers who shop with us in store. Here are examples of the name badge stickers and their explanation.
