Our ambition is to provide our customers with the widest range of home improvement products in accordance with our lowest prices policy, backed with the best service.
Our team members are the heart and soul of our business.
Our team's guiding principles are integrity, respect, teamwork, achievement and innovation. Our guiding principles are the keys to our culture and to achieving our vision.
We pursue sustainability within our operations by striving to make them socially responsible and environmentally aware and economically viable.
We engage with the communities in which we operate and live and we actively contribute to causes and organisations that benefit these communities.
We seek to lessen our environmental impact in ways that are measurable including: achieving better and more efficient use of resources; ensuring our suppliers operate sustainably and ethically; encouraging and educating customers about environmentally friendly alternatives; and focusing on the “reduce, re-use and recycle” waste management principles. In 2021 we introduced a national battery recycling program across our Australian store network to provide customers with an instore recycling solution for household and power tool batteries. We extended this to our New Zealand network in 2022.
We value our team members’ contributions, recognise and reward their efforts and provide a fun, satisfying and safe workplace.
By living our values and operating sustainably, we will continue to “build the best” and earn the right to serve our customers tomorrow and into the future.
Bunnings is the leading retailer of home and lifestyle products for consumer and commercial customers in Australia and New Zealand. We are a major supplier to project builders, commercial tradespeople and the housing industry. Our store network is made up of 282 large warehouse stores, 67 smaller format stores, and 32 trade centres and frame & truss sites. In April 2020, Bunnings acquired South Australian retailer Adelaide Tools (now Tool Kit Depot), which now has 11 stores, and acquired Beaumont Tiles in November 2021 which has 115 stores. Revenue across the 2022 financial year totalled $17.8 billion and at 30 June 2022, we employed nearly 53,000 team members.
Bunnings warehouse has been built on three strategic pillars
Our team members are the face of Bunnings and provide friendly and helpful service. The size of the Bunnings network means we can offer real benefits and opportunities for career and personal development. Just ask one of our team members and they'll tell you.
Whilst we're larger today, we have kept a family feel and still have fun. We have a high retention rate with many long term team members, we regularly ask our team for feedback on how we're doing and how we're living our vision and values. We truly care for our team, and take our responsibility to provide a safe, secure and rewarding environment very seriously.
Bunnings is committed to participating in the communities in which we operate by contributing to local, regional and national causes, charities and organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand. During the 2022 financial year our team supported over 54,000 local community activities helping raise and contribute more than $29 million for community groups.
From grass roots causes to local sporting clubs, schools and hospitals, we provide a wide range of support to a cross section of local community groups. We do this in many different ways including our sausage sizzles, cake stalls, hands-on D.I.Y. project assistance, product donations, garden makeovers and more.
Bunnings has a strong network of locations to cater for both retail and commercial customers across metropolitan and regional locations. These are broken into three flexible formats.
Bunnings continues to expand its brand reach through the opening of new stores and more digital engagement, delivering the best offer everywhere – in-store, in-home and onsite.
