Bunnings requires its Suppliers to comply with various business policies (Bunnings Policies). These documents provide our suppliers with an understanding of what is required in the areas of Electronic Trading and Master Data Requirements.
As a proudly Australian owned company, our preference is to support locally based and made products wherever possible. With a large network of stores, the widest range and a commitment to offering our customers breathtaking value we also source products from around the world.
Our buying team visit suppliers and travel to trade airs throughout Australia and across the globe, seeking the latest, most innovative and inspirational products to ensure we are first to market.
Bunnings' supply partners trade electronically through e-commerce and all general merchandise products purchased are fully bar-coded.
All suppliers participate in Bunnings wood procurement policy to ensure that each timber-based product is sourced legally and in an environmentally responsible manner.
Every supplier is required to ethically source their products from factories which operate in accordance with international labour and safety standards.
The Bunnings online supplier representative/vendor accreditation course is tailored to supplier representatives that provide a vendor in-store support (VIS) service to our stores. This course is now completed within Rapid Global, Bunnings Online Contractor, Supplier and Visitor management system. Please speak to your employer to obtain a link to the accreditation courses.
All supplier representatives must be onboarded in Rapid Global and sign in & out of Bunnings sites using the Rapid Global QR Code. For more information on this process, refer to our For our contractors & suppliers working at Bunnings page.
For any VIS related questions please contact vis@bunnings.com.au (AUS) or vis@bunnings.co.nz (NZ).
Bunnings is part of the Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) and is committed to reducing the environmental impact of consumer packaging. Bunnings expects suppliers to act in accordance with APC standards, to ensure product packaging design is optimised to minimise both environmental impact and the use of non-recyclable materials.
Additionally, all products and shipping/packaging cartons exceeding 10 kilograms are to have weight icons applied as per the weight icon program specifications. These weight icons assist Bunnings customers, team members, suppliers and contractors to identify the weight range of a product by sight prior to lifting.
