Defect:

Affected cylinders may have been overfilled, which could cause gas to be released from the safety valve in the cylinder.

Hazard:

There is a risk of serious injury from burns and property damage if:

The gas released from the cylinder comes into contact with an ignition source, or

The gas cylinder is connected to an appliance and the liquid LPG flows into the appliance instead of gas and catches fire or explodes.

There is also a risk of serious injury from cold burns if you come into contact with the gas as it releases from the valve..

What should I do?

1.     Please stop using the product immediately and disconnect if from any applicance.

2.     Please contact ELGAS on the number 0438 698 072. ELGAS will organise for the recalled cylinder to be collected and a replacement to be provided free of charge. Do not return the cylinder to the place of purchase.

3.     Immediately place the cylinder in a well-ventilated open area outdoors, out of direct sunlight.

Some bottles may have a faulty breather cap

Hazard:

The solution in some bottles may leak from the breather cap if tipped over. Contact with the solution may cause skin and/or eye damage and may be harmful if the contents are ingested or inhaled.

What should I do?

Wear protective clothing, gloves and face/eye protection and check that the breather cap is secured. If the cap is secure and there are no leaks, then read the instructions and use as directed. Store out of reach of children.

If you identify a leak, or are unsure, place the bottle upright in a plastic bag, seal with a cable tie or packaging tape and place in a secure container out of reach of children until collection can be arranged.

Cabot’s Woodcare is recalling Enrich Timber Cleaner 2.2L (Batch SA36658) sold at Bunnings Warehouse between 12 January 2023 and 18 February 2023. The batch number can be found on a stick-on label on the base of the container.

Defect:

The container contents may leak from the screw top lid of the container. Leakage may be found around the screw top lid and on the outside of the container.

Hazard:

The contents of the container is corrosive. If the contents of the container comes into contact with the skin or eyes, it may cause severe skin burns or eye damage. If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin and clothing thoroughly. If eye contact occurs, hold eye open and flood with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice.

What should I do?

Wearing appropriate PPE (long sleeve shirt, pants, apron, closed shoes, nitrile rubber gloves and safety glasses), you should:
(a) carefully inspect the container to identify any leakage around the screw top lid and on the outside of the container; and
(b) if leakage is identified, carefully tighten the screw top lid, wipe the leakage away with a rag and immediately dispose of the rag.

Identification:

The recall covers the output connector clamp of the Projecta battery chargers which were sold at hardware and automotive parts retailers between 2017 and 2022. Only Models AC008, AC015, AC040, AC080, SMC150, SMC400, SMC800 are affected.

The output connector clamps that have a visible engraved ‘Vo’ or yellow paint dot, are not part of this recall.

Defect:

The plastic covers on the output connector clamps are not adequately resistant to fire. They may overheat and catch fire.

The Roxy Glass logo pictured is on all affected glass panels but may be covered by timber trim and not visible on some affected doors. Major suppliers were Henley Properties, Porter Davis, IHG, Bunnings, Dahlsens Building Centre, Rawson Homes, Carlisle Homes and Clarendon homes.

Defect:

Certain glass doors installed from approximately October 2019 to February 2022 may not be toughened correctly and may not shatter according to the requirements of the Australian toughened glass safety standards.

What should I do?

Some consumers will receive a letter between December 2022 and January 2023 from Corinthian Doors, their retailer or installer arranging for repair of their affected doors. Identification:

Dulux is recalling Concrete & Paving Bare Concrete Etch & Clean 2L and 4L products sold at Bunnings Warehouse during January 2023 SKU codes: 52ZD0198-2L ,52ZD0198-4L, Batch numbers 9988 Nov 2022 and 9990 Nov 2022 (2L), and 9968 Oct 2022 and 9978 Nov 2022 (4L). The batch number is printed on a stick on label on the base of the container.

Defect:

Movement during transport may have resulted in the product escaping through the seal of the screw top lids and dribbling down the container. Contamination may be found on the top or sides of the container.

Hazard:

Risk of fire or burn injury.

What should I do?

Consumers should wear PPE (long sleeves and pants, apron, closed shoes, nitrile rubber gloves and safety glasses) and carefully inspect the container for signs of product contamination. Any contamination can be carefully wiped away and the rag disposed of safely. The screws that hold the controller in place, forming part of the earth connection, could become loose. This may allow the earth connection to break which will affect the electrical safety of the pellet heater.

Bunnings is issuing a recall of all Moretti and Click oil column heaters purchased in 2017. This is a precautionary measure following the recall of the Moretti 5 Fin and Moretti 11 Fin Oil Column Heaters.

Defect:

The Moretti 5 Fin and 11 Fin Oil Column Heaters were recalled following reports from a number of customers of oil having leaked and in some instances sprayed. While to date we have not had similar incidents reported with any other oil column heaters under the Moretti and Click brands, additional testing by suppliers suggests an incorrect specification of oil could have been used in some of the heaters.  It is important to reinforce that this is preliminary information from our suppliers and we are undertaking additional testing as we continue to investigate the cause of the issues.

The neck on the spout of the can may separate from the body, resulting in the product leaking out.

Hazard:

Defect:

The fuel tank seal and fuel lines may leak petrol.

What should I do?

Check the model and production date of your brushcutter and line trimmer (see affected range of serial numbers above). If the model and production date of your brushcutter is within the affected range, stop using it immediately and carefully drain the fuel tank. Take your trimmer into the store you bought it from or to a nearest Makita Authorised Service Agent. Makita will arrange free of charge replacement of the fuel tank seal and fuel lines.
