Online Retail and Special Order Terms and Conditions of Sale (Terms of Sale)

Bunnings is pleased to offer you the opportunity to buy and receive Products from Bunnings through the Website on the basis of the following terms:

1. Orders

a. For each Product listed in your Checkout Summary, your order is an offer from you to Bunnings to buy that Product from us. A contract for the supply of the Product from us to you will be formed your payment has been processed and we have sent you an email order confirmation.

b. On the purchase of Products from us, you enter into a contract with us under these Terms of Sale in respect of those Products purchased.

c. We are responsible for dispatching the Products to you under these Terms of Sale.

d. All accepted orders of Products supersede all previous quotes/estimates that may have been provided to you.

e. We reserve the right to limit the quantity of Products purchased by you.

2. Information about Products

Due to photographic and screen limitations associated with the representation of Products, some actual Products may differ to a small extent in visual appearance (for example in colour) from the way they appear on the Website.

3. Pricing and payment

a. You must pay for all online purchases at the time of online checkout prior to order confirmation in accordance with one of the payment methods offered on the Website. Where we cannot fulfil an order, a refund will be provided under clause 10.

b. Purchases over $500 require a deposit of $500 when you place the order, and the balance is payable before the Goods are collected or delivered. 

c. The prices of Products, and any delivery or other charges, shown are in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST.

4. Delivery

a. Where a Product is being delivered, delivery options are listed on our Website. The option selected by you and the applicable estimated delivery times will be shown in your Checkout Summary. We will use reasonable endeavours to deliver Products within the time frame shown.

b. You will be notified via email once your Products have been dispatched.

c. We are unable to accept liability for delay in delivering Products which are beyond our reasonable control. If the Product has not been delivered within a reasonable time (depending on the nature of the Product and the delivery address), please contact us if you wish to cancel your order for that Product and request a refund.

d. You must ensure there is clear and safe access for delivery. You must ensure there is a person present at the delivery premises who is authorised by you to accept delivery. If there is not, we will endeavour to deliver the Product if safe and appropriate to do so. If the delivery contractor arrives at the agreed time but is unable to deliver the Product or considers that it is unsafe or inappropriate to do so, you may be required to pay for re-delivery later, or we may cancel your order and provide you with a refund, excluding the cost of delivery.

e. Some Products may require extra delivery personnel which will incur an additional charge as advised to you before you submit your order.

5. Click & Collect

a. Depending on your location, it may be an option to collect the Products in a Bunnings store (Click & Collect).

b. If Products are being collected, please collect them within:

i. 30 days (for special orders or custom-made products); or

ii. 5 days (for all other Products). after Bunnings informs you that they are ready for collection.

c. If you do not pick up your Products within the applicable time period specified above, then unless you make arrangements with us for late collection, Bunnings will assume you have cancelled your order. This means Bunnings may refund you the amount that you paid for the Product (excluding any delivery fee) and re-sell the Product. You may also be required to pay a reasonable re-stocking fee or, in the case of specially ordered or custom-made product, forfeit any deposit or payment you have made if Bunnings cannot return the product to the supplier and reasonably considers that it will be unable to sell the specially ordered or custom-made Product to another purchaser within a reasonable time after you are deemed to have cancelled your order.

d. You will need to show proof of ID to verify your identity upon collection.

e. Pick-up is not available Christmas Day or Good Friday.

6. Title and risk Title and risk of loss or damage to Products purchased by you shall pass to you:

a. if the Product is delivered to you, upon delivery of the Product; or

b. if you selected Click & Collect, upon collection of the Product.

7. Warranties and liability

a. All Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement for or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

b. Products may contain warranty documents on or inside the packaging provided by the manufacturer or distributor of the Product. Unless clearly expressed otherwise, any such warranty is not given by Bunnings.

c. All other warranties are excluded, except those which are non-excludable in law, including the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, where Products supplied are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic and household use, Bunnings liability to you is limited to refunding the price, replacing or repairing the relevant Products (at Bunnings’ option).

d. To assist Bunnings in resolving any problems you may experience, please inspect the Product upon taking delivery and report any shortage, discrepancy, defect, wrong specification or similar problem to us as soon as you become aware of it.

8. Order Cancellation

a. Bunnings may cancel any order (in full or part) where:

i. we reasonably suspect that you are purchasing the Product/s for the purposes of resale or resupply (other than where you are a builder or tradesperson and you are resupplying the goods to your customers in the course of that trade);

ii. we become aware after order confirmation that the Product/s is out of stock;

iii. there has been a genuine pricing or Product description error; or

iv. where the transaction is suspected of being the subject of credit card or payment-related fraud, or any other criminal activity.

b. We will refund any amount already paid in respect of any cancelled order. In the case of part cancellation of an order, a refund will be provided on the amount paid that relates to the cancelled portion of the order.

9. Refunds and Returns

a. Bunnings’ refunds and returns policy can be found on www.bunnings.com.au/policies/returns.

10. Gift cards and exchange vouchers

a. Bunnings gift cards are subject to additional terms and conditions available at https://www.bunnings.com.au/online-gift-cards.

b. Bunnings gift cards and exchange vouchers cannot be used to purchase Products on the Website.

11. Privacy

a. Bunnings collects your personal information to allow us to supply you with Products and services. You can read more about how we handle your personal information (including marketing and any disclosure to third parties) in the Bunnings Privacy Policy. By providing us with your personal information you agree to this policy.

12. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, dispute or any other feedback relating to a Product purchased from Bunnings, you may submit your complaint to customersupport@bunnings.com.au and we will investigate and respond to your complaint.

13. Third Party Services

Where you arrange and book for any third party services through the Website, you contract separately with that third party. Bunnings will not be liable for any services provided by a third party.

14. Inconsistency

These Terms of Sale, together with, Bunnings policies available on the Website, , apply to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. In the event of any inconsistency between those documents, these Online Retail Terms and Conditions will take precedence to the extent necessary to resolve that inconsistency.

15. Definitions

a. Bunnings, we, us or our means Bunnings Group Limited;

b. Checkout Summary means the summary of your purchase of Product/s presented to you prior to confirmation of your purchase on the Website;

c. Product means any goods and services available for purchase from Bunnings on the Website;

d. Website means the Bunnings website available at www.bunnings.com.au
