Christmas cards arranged in the shape of a tree on a wall

Overview

Personal touches make for great decorations, especially at Christmas time. If you’re big on sentiment, you’ll love this unique craft project. Create a festive memory wall by hanging your Christmas card collection in the shape of a tree.

Decorating tip: A painted feature wall in a deep hue creates the perfect backdrop to make paper adornments pop. The panelled wall is painted in Colorbond Monument.

Steps

1Cut magnetic strip

Cut the magnetic strip into desired lengths. We used 20cm, 40cm, 1m and 2m.

2Apply adhesive

Leaving the backing paper on the magnetic strip, apply small balls of reusable adhesive along the back of the strips, attaching them to the wall in a triangular pattern.

3Attach Christmas cards

Use magnets to attach the Christmas cards to the magnetic strips.

Safety tip: Make sure the magnets are out of reach of small children.
