wrapped gifts on a table

Overview

A simple potato is all you need to create your own signature wrapping paper. This fun and creative Christmas craft is easy, inexpensive and will add a personal touch to each gift, for the best looking prezzies under the tree!

Steps

1Create the potato stamp

Cut the potato in half. Using a cookie cutter, cut the shape into the flat side of the potato half and trim the edges to create a stamp.

2Dip in paint

Let the excess paint drip off and press repeatedly onto the paper. Allow the paint to dry completely before using the paper.

3On the hunt for hanging Christmas decorations?

Try our MDF star garland project. You can customise the length to fit your entryway, or even span an entire feature wall.

These substances can easily be disturbed when renovating and exposure to them can cause a range of life-threatening diseases and conditions including cancer. For information on the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint and CCA treated timber and tips for dealing with these materials contact your local council's Environmental Health Officer or visit our Health & Safety page.
