How to install pull-out baskets for cabinets

Overview

Pull out baskets create easy access for hard to reach areas in the back of corner cupboards. This step-by-step guide will teach you how to install the framework for the baskets into your corner cabinet. Plus, we show you how to connect the different parts of the mechanism together.

Steps

Mark out the screw points for the sliding track frame

Remove the panel from the front of your cabinet. Mark out the screw points for the sliding track frame as specified in the instructions. Then place the frame in position to make sure the marks are all correct. It is also a good idea to pre-drill pilot holes for your screws.

Install the sliding track frame and front support rail

Screw the sliding track frame into place. Then loosen the two screws on the front face of the frame and mount the front support rail into place on top of the screws. Once the rail is sitting in position, tighten the screws to lock it in place.

Install the basket frame in the sliding track frame

Move the sliding track frame closer to the side of the cabinet where the door will be. There are two possible mount points for the basket frame. Choose the one closest to the door-end of the cabinet. Place the basket frame in position and screw it into place using the hex screws provided.

Install the front roller wheels, handles and hang the baskets

Screw the front roller wheels into the bottom of both basket frame panels. Then screw the handles into place at the front of each basket panel. Now simply hang the baskets and slide the frame into the cabinet. Finish off by replacing the front panel you removed at the start, and you're done.
