Bathroom vanity with blue and white striped towel.
When it comes to giving your bathroom a quick update or makeover, you can't go past a new vanity in a beautiful finish for real wow factor.

An instant injection of bathroom storage

As well as transforming your bathroom from frumpy to fabulous, updating the vanity can be an instant way of upping your bathroom storage. When you're deciding what kind of vanity to choose, there are a few questions you should ask first.

Wall hung or floor mounted vanities

Wall hung vanities make the bathroom feel larger because more of the floor area is visible and because the eye is drawn along the width of the vanity and not its height. For makeovers where there's existing plumbing, a floor-mounted vanity can be a good choice for concealing plumbing and covering up any unsightly areas.

White bathroom vanity

A classic white vanity, like the full height CIBO Function 900, will look great in almost every bathroom without blowing the budget. It's a good choice if you need to conceal existing plumbing or if you're tight on space but don't want to compromise on storage, with a compact depth of just 370mm. For wall-hung vanities in classic white, you can't go past the CIBO Slide and CIBO Seamless vanities, available in a wide range of sizes and door/drawer combinations.

Something a little edgier? Try veneer

If you're after something a little edgier, veneer is a great option and will add warmth and texture to a bathroom's hard surfaces, especially if there's lots of white being used. CIBO Design's new Revive range of vanities offers a choice of two veneers – a light and breezy Café Oak and the darker, sleeker Bronzed Oak – as well as coordinating mirrors and linen cabinets.

Single or double

If you have the space, a vanity with double sinks/basins is ideal for busy family bathrooms. When the morning rush is on a double-basin vanity can be your best friend. Double basins also work well in a couple's ensuite.

Top and basin type

The material you choose for your vanity top and whether you opt for a countertop or undercounter basin will depend on a few factors; who will be using the bathroom, the style of bathroom, and of course your budget. CIBO Design's vanities are available with a variety of tops to suit all kinds of bathrooms, including polymarble, toughened glass, stone, and solid surface. Choosing a countertop basin can free up valuable space inside the vanity if you're really squeezed for storage.

Need more storage space?

If you've replaced your vanity but still find yourself short on storage, CIBO Design has the solution with a range of coordinating linen cabinets and mirrors  an easy way of adding instant storage to your bathroom.
