A corner cabinet unit with a two-tier rotating rack inside

Overview

A rotating carousel provides easy access to corner cabinets. We show you how to install a two-tier rotating basket into a corner cabinet. You’ll see how to measure the cabinet and install the centre pole. Learn how to fit the basket unit together and adjust the shelves to the correct height.

Steps

1Remove the shelf and fix it to the base of the cabinet

In a 900mm corner cabinet the shelf will be installed. Remove the shelf and place it on the bottom of the cabinet. Remove the shelf supports. Pre drill holes around the edges. Secure the shelf to the bottom of the cabinet using 28mm screws.

2Install the centre pole

Always refer to your instructions. Measure from the front edge of the cabinet for the placement of the centre pole. Use a ruler to draw lines across the base to find the centre point. Drill a hole for the bottom pole bracket to slot into and then screw it into the base. Measure the top of the cabinet from the front edge to make sure it is identical to the bottom pole position. Pre drill a hole for the top pole bracket and secure it in place.

When you're drilling into a plastic fitting drill slowly and bear in mind that too much pressure could crack the fitting.

3Install the basket ware

Refer to your instructions. This can be fiddly, so build the unit outside the cabinet first so you know how it fits together. Take it apart and reassemble inside the cabinet. Place the base of the centre pole into the bottom bracket. Extend the pole and place it into the top bracket and secure in place.

The locating holes on the pole allow you to adjust your baskets to the right height. To position the middle basket push the fixing pin through the pole at the desired height. Slide the mounting cap down and rotate to lock. Rest the basket on top. Secure the fixing clip on top of the basket.  Position the lower basket and place the fixing clip on top to secure it in place.
