User safety instructions:
When you get your rug home it will be rolled up in the package. After removing the packaging, unroll the rug, then be sure to roll it the opposite way and lay it flat for a while. This will allow the fibres to relax in a flat position and reduce the curling of the edges before placing in your space.
Rugs can become a safety hazard if not correctly secured, here are some options for reducing the possibility of slips, trips and falls:
• Non-slip rubber pads are the most effective way to reduce the movement of your rug, especially on carpet or smooth floor surfaces.
• Rug anchors or grippers are a more permanent option for securing your rug. They use small pins secured into the bottom of the rug to prevent movement. This may not be suitable for all floor types.
• Double sided rug tape is the most temporary option and is great for renters and smaller rugs. This method may not be suitable for larger rugs.
Keep your rug flat on the ground and avoid having it rolled up for long periods of time as they can stay rolled at the edges and this can become a tripping hazard.
In the case that you have stored your rug rolled up in storage, make sure to roll it the opposite way and have it lay flat for a while to let the fibres relax in a flat position to reduce the curling of the edges before placing in your space. This will reduce tripping hazards.
