  • Fights plaque & tartar
  • Freshens pet’s breath
  • 100% organic seaweed
Simply Seaweed is a dental supplement for dogs and cats made from 100% Ascophyllum nodosum, a type of seaweed. It is also a valuable nutritional supplement due to its natural abundance of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, antioxidants, and prebiotics. After being consumed by your pet, Ascophyllum nodosum supports better dental hygiene through its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-adhesive properties. This helps soften existing plaque while preventing new plaque from sticking to the teeth. The benefits of Simply Seaweed include dental maintenance, prevention of dental disease, reduction and removal of plaque, prevention of tartar, improvement of bad breath, and stain removal to help whiten teeth. The product contains only certified organic Ascophyllum nodosum with no fillers, preservatives, colorings, flavorings, or additives. Simply Seaweed is easy to use—just sprinkle it on your pet’s meal or mix it in. If you cook or heat their food, add the product afterward. The daily dosage is: cats and small dogs up to 10 kg, 1 to 2 pinches (1/16 to 1/8 teaspoon); medium dogs 10–25 kg, 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon; large dogs 25–50 kg, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon; and giant dogs 50 kg or more, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon. One teaspoon is approximately 3 grams. There are some important precautions to note. Simply Seaweed should not be given to animals with thyroid issues unless under veterinary supervision, or to pets that are allergic or intolerant to seaweed, kelp, fish, shellfish, or seafood. It is not recommended for pregnant or nursing animals, pets under six months of age, or in combination with other seaweed or kelp supplements. If you are unsure whether it is suitable, consult your veterinarian. Store Simply Seaweed in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and use within one year of opening. Most pet owners see improvements within a few weeks, although results may take up to 12 weeks depending on the pet’s condition and dosage. Dogs usually accept it easily, but cats can sometimes be fussy. If needed, you can reduce the dosage, introduce it gradually, or mix it with foods such as lactose-free yogurt, chicken stock, gravy, margarine, or peanut butter. For cats, combining it with Brewer’s Yeast before adding to food can help. Because seaweed is naturally high in iodine, veterinary guidance is recommended if your pet has thyroid concerns. Pets with seafood allergies or seaweed intolerance should not be given the product. Simply Seaweed does not come with a measuring scoop to avoid unnecessary plastic waste; instead, standard kitchen measuring spoons are recommended. The Ascophyllum nodosum is harvested in Canada and Ireland, then packed in Australia. Containers are food safe, tamper-evident, and recyclable.
