The Sango brand is manufactured with a `reactive glaze' technique to make each piece unique in appearance with a hand-made feel. The colours and textures of reactive glazes change from piece to piece, even for the pieces glazed and fired simultaneously with the same materials. The finish results from a non-formulaic firing in the kiln. This means that because of the higher heat process, it cannot be predicted how the finish will end up looking.
