Air Gaps prevent stormwater backflow from entering your tank - ensuring your water supply is not contaminated. If there is a stormwater backup caused be heavy rain or blockages in your local stormwater network, water can flow up your overflow pipes towards your tank. The Air Gap's open mouth is a physical break in the line, which means that this back flow water will flow out of the opening rather than make it to your tank. Includes two removable insect proof screens for easy cleaning.
