Paragard Allwormer Purple for cats and kittens. One tablet per 5kg body weight. Paragard Allwormer is a broad-spectrum worming prevention that treats your cat for all major species of gastrointestinal worms including roundworm, hookworm and tapeworm. â—¦ Treats and controls all major intestinal worms including roundworm, whipworm and hookworm â—¦ Kittens should be treated at 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks of age, and then monthly until 6 months of age. â—¦ Cats over six months of age require treatment every 3 months â—¦ Controls tapeworms, which are caught from fleas or lizards Cats are always being exposed to intestinal worms, even prior to birth. Cats are exposed to worms in different ways. Some species of worms can transfer to kittens through the placenta or from their mother's milk, while some species are transferred via the soil in parks and backyards or transferred from fleas or lizards. Kittens under 6 months of age need to be wormed more frequently than adults as their immune system is more vulnerable and they are particularly susceptible to infestation. Unwormed kittens are at risk of developing gastrointestinal problems like diarrhoea and vomiting, poor growth, anaemia and even death. To ensure this doesn't occur, kittens should be wormed every 2 weeks from 2 to 8 weeks of age, then monthly until they are at least 6 months old. Adult cats require treatment for worms at least every 3 months. Dose for your cat's weight. 1 tablet per 5kg body weight.
