WA telethon weekend for media centre

Posted on 22nd October 2025 - Bunnings WA BBQ for Telethon Weekend

Bunnings stores across Western Australia have raised more than $100,000 during the 2025 Telethon Weekend to support sick, vulnerable, and disadvantaged children and their families across the state.

Last Saturday 18 October, stores fired up their BBQs and donated 100 per cent of proceeds from every sausage sold directly to Telethon. Customers also showed their support through in-store donations and by purchasing Positivity Pegs made by kids at recent D.I.Y. Workshops, sold for a gold coin donation.

“Last year our WA stores raised and contributed $65,000, so we’re thrilled to see even more West Aussies getting behind this year’s event to help make a difference,” said Hayley Coulson, Bunnings General Manager of Store Operations.

Bunnings is proud to continue its support of causes that matter most to the community. Every year, our teams host tens of thousands of activities to support local groups and charities nationwide.

We’d like to thank our incredible WA team members for their enthusiasm and community spirit, and everyone who dropped by to enjoy a snag for a great cause.

Press Release - flood and drought relief efforts - June 2025

12th June 2025 - Bunnings contributes $175K to flood and drought relief efforts

In response to the devastating floods and drought conditions affecting communities across various parts of Australia, Bunnings is donating $175,000 to help with recovery efforts.

$100,000 is going to Rural Aid, which provides a range of services to support farming and rural communities before, during and after natural disasters, with the drought conditions having a considerable impact in regional Victoria and South Australia.

To help with relief efforts following floods in NSW, Bunnings is contributing $75,000 to GIVIT, an organisation which is working with the NSW Government, local councils and community organisations to aid the recovery.

As the clean-up continues in many communities, Bunnings is pleased to be able to work with local organisations to donate cleaning buckets stocked with supplies which will be provided to people in need.

We also want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing local store teams who have gone above and beyond to support their communities — from helping with clean-ups following floods to providing essential supplies to drought-affected farmers and lending a hand wherever it’s needed. Thank you for stepping up and helping out.

Importantly, the Statement was shaped by the voices of our greenlife suppliers. This collaborative approach ensures the Statement is not just a set of principles, but a shared foundation for how we work together now and into the future.
