Pallets with Purpose

What if yesterday's delivery pallet could help grow tomorrow's garden?

Across more than 260 Bunnings stores, timber pallets that can no longer be reused are getting a second life through our Pallets with Purpose programme. Instead of going to waste, plain pine pallets are recycled into garden mulch, creating value from material that might otherwise have gone to waste.

It's a simple idea with a big impact. Every pallet recycled creates a product that can support healthier gardens, improve soil moisture and help plants thrive.

For us, it's proof that sustainability doesn't always have to be complicated. Sometimes it's about looking at everyday materials differently and finding practical ways to keep them working harder.

So, the next time you're spreading mulch in your garden, there's a chance it started life helping deliver products to a Bunnings store.

From warehouse to garden bed, we've turned old pallets into new possibilities.
