Mace 69mm Bored Out Throttle Body To Suit Holden Ecotec L36 L67 Supercharged 3.8L V6 (1995-2002)

Installing a bored out throttle body is a very cost-effective way to bump up the performance of your Ecotec or L67 supercharged 3.8L V6 engine by increasing airflow by 14%. Designed and manufactured by a team of qualified mechanical and automotive engineers, so you can be assured of the outstanding quality and workmanship of these throttle bodies. The photo does NOT do these throttle bodies justice! Through different testing procedures, gains of around 10hp at the rear wheels have been recorded if used in conjunction with extractors/exhaust and cold air intake. A greater power gain can be achieved with additional mods such as a larger cam and supercharger etc. On top of this power increase, it will also make your engine sound meaner (i.e. more air rushing into the engine) and offer a much better throttle response. Please note that we don't manufacture these throttle bodies in 70mm as we feel that they are unsafe in long term since the wall thickness is too thin and may fail over time. These throttle bodies have been fitted to a number of cars including David Wilzig's ITT.38L, which was the FASTEST V6 IN AUSTRALIA, pulling 9.981 seconds @ 137.88mph down the quarter and making 750hp! So these products have been well proven to work even on the most extreme cars. Please note that our throttle bodies use a brand new 69mm brass butterfly to match the bored out throat. Other products on the market are merely a cleaned up version of the factory item and still use the original butterfly which leaves the main restriction to airflow in place. This is done to mislead people into thinking that they are selling a larger throttle body when they actually are not! To be sure, it is best to ask for photographic proof that the butterfly diameter is what they claim it to be. Notes: - These throttle bodies are not polished. - Vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions will require a tune as the shift points are altered by fitting this throttle body. We can provide a re-calibrated PCM or memcal to suit. - For customers with either Caprice/Statesman WH or Monaro V2.II models later than 09/02, we recommend to check the throttle body to determine if they have VX or VY type.
