A Centre Brace is recommended by Australian Safety Standards to be used in conjunction with the "Ezistep" Stringers and Treads. These should be fitted if your tread width is: Treated Pine - 1000mm or over Merbau - over 1200mm Centre braces add extra support and assist with bowing. Fix with stainless steel screws (not included) in centre of tread - top and bottom of brace, which fits from the 1st and last tread. Depending on length of centre brace / stringer kit additional fixings maybe required. Note: this product is only available in Treated Pine.
