Duratac Directional Fibreglass Tactiles are integrated Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSI) which are required by Australian standards to assist blind or visually impaired persons navigate public spaces. TGSIs are placed to provide warning of an approaching hazard such as stairs, ramps, pedestrian crossings & overhead hazards etc. TGSIs can be felt underfoot or with a cane. As the majority of vision impaired persons have some vision, TGSIs must have a luminance contrast to the surface they are applied too. LRV rating has been provided.
Duratac Hazard Fibreglass Tactiles can be paired with Duratac Directional Fastiles which provides a message of a change of direction.
