This D.I.Y. Advice is part of a series How To Install Laundry Cabinetry

Step by Step Instructions

1 Make up your cabinet door
2 Attach the feet to the cabinet
3 Attach the back to the cabinet
4 Screw the basket frame and hinges onto the door
5 Attach the door to the cabinet
6 Attach the handle
7 Install the linen bag inside the cabinet
  • Step 1. Make up your cabinet door

Screw the pins into the pre-drilled holes on the side panels. Before you attach the bottom piece and the rails to the side panel, you must first insert camlocks into them. You’ll first fix the bottom panel to the side. Insert the pins into the camlock, making sure the panel’s white edges are facing the same side and camlocks are facing down. Tighten the locks with your screwdriver to secure. Then repeat the same process for all of the rails. For the rails, ensure the camlocks are facing outside so you won’t see them when you open up the cabinet door. Then prepare and attach the other side panel to finish off the cabinet.

  • Step 2. Attach the feet to the cabinet

Flip the cabinet upside down and attach the feet to the bottom panel using the pre-drilled holes. Make sure the angled part of the foot is facing the outside. Fit the adjustable feet into the housing unit. Then using a setsquare, measure and set the feet to 145mm, which is the perfect height for the kickboard.
  • Step 3. Attach the back to the cabinet

Using the supplied nails from the cupboard kit, nail the back onto the cabinet. Make sure the white side is facing inside so you will only see white when you open the cupboard door.

  • Step 4. Screw the basket frame and hinges onto the door

The door is already pre-drilled with holes. Line the metal frame up with the holes and attach with screws. To attach the hinges to the door, unclip the plate on the back of the hinge by pressing the button at the end. Then fit and screw the hinge to the door using the pre-drilled holes.
  • Step 5. Attach the door to the cabinet

Screw in the hinge plates to the base of the cabinet using the pre-drilled holes. Then attach the door by joining the hinges together. You can now adjust the door at the hinges if the door isn’t sitting flush. Next you’ll need to put the door guide on. Again using existing holes in the cabinet, screw on the guide. Then holding the door up into the closed position, attach the guide to the door.
  • Step 6. Attach the handle

Mark out where your handle will go and put down masking tape on both sides of the door to prevent chipping. Then mark out exactly on the tape where your handle will go. Pre-drill holes on your marks and then attach and fasten the handles.
  • Step 7. Install the linen bag inside the cabinet

The last step is to feed the wire hangers through the bag so you can sit it into the frame inside the cupboard. Use the Velcro straps to fasten the bag inside the frame.
