A roaring fire is a drawcard. It is a place to gather with friends and family, to share moments and to make memories. Scandia’s range of contemporary wood fires creates a centrepiece in the family home, coupling expert craftsmanship with the design sensibility of Scandinavia.
A stylish wood heater is a wonderfully evocative heat source for your home. Scandia’s Edge 50, with its clean lines and three-sided viewing glass, uses modern design to conjure a connection to raw nature. It balances an impressive heating capacity of up to 200sqm with extremely low emissions.
The Edge 50’s user-friendly design extends to a roomy 435mm x 330mm fire box and an optional wood storage pedestal. The large, flat top surface, with its high-temperature metallic black finish, can even be used to slow-cook warming winter stews.
Scandia is proudly Australian-owned, and the company’s commitment to quality means your Edge 50 comes with a 10-year warranty on its fire box.
Shop our wide range of Scandia wood heaters and functional accessories for stylish heating solutions.
Some products are not available at all Bunnings stores, but may be ordered.
Safety tip: Wood heaters should be installed by a licensed professional to manufacturer’s specifications and comply with local council regulations. Only burn dry, well-seasoned and chemically untreated wood (not painted, stained or treated with preservatives) and do not burn garbage or plastic. Supervise children and pets around fires at all times.
Asbestos, lead-based paints and copper chromium arsenic (CCA) treated timber are health hazards you need to look out for when renovating older homes. These substances can easily be disturbed when renovating and exposure to them can cause a range of life-threatening diseases and conditions including cancer. For information on the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint and CCA treated timber and tips for dealing with these materials contact your local council's Environmental Health Officer or visit our Health & Safety page.
