An outdoor patio area set up with blind pull down
Create a sheltered outdoor space without cutting off your view.

Clear attraction

There’s no need to put your outdoor area into hibernation during the cooler months. With Bistro Blinds, you can turn your deck or patio into a functional entertaining space to chill out in comfort – without the chill.

With the Bistro Blinds’ Café Crank, it’s easier than ever to customise to your space: wind the blinds up while the sun is shining, or lower them quickly and easily to protect against the elements. The clear PVC material means that – open or closed – you can enjoy garden views all year round.

Simple and sleek

The Café Crank rolls neatly on a sleek-looking keyway. It doesn’t have cords or chains, making it a safer choice for families with small children. To operate the blinds, simply crank the handle and the blind will roll smoothly away. Café Crank includes the crank handle (pictured below) for easy operation.

Easy does it

Installation is a simple D.I.Y. project. All Bistro Blinds come with a full installation kit; all you need is a drill and a screwdriver to get started. Begin by checking the mounting position – blinds can be top-, face- or side-mounted – and then follow the instructions to mount the brackets, assemble the blind and fit the whole thing together. The kit also includes base retention clips, to keep your blinds securely anchored so they won’t flap in the breeze.

Safety tip: Roll up the blinds in high winds to avoid damage. Always keep blinds away from outdoor heaters and rolled up when not in use.

For a tailored look, with minimal gaps, you can have your blinds cut to size to perfectly fit the width of your space. (Enquire at the Special Orders Desk in-store.)

Health & Safety

Asbestos, lead-based paints and copper chromium arsenic (CCA) treated timber are health hazards you need to look out for when renovating older homes. These substances can easily be disturbed when renovating and exposure to them can cause a range of life-threatening diseases and conditions including cancer. For information on the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint and CCA treated timber and tips for dealing with these materials contact your local council's Environmental Health Officer or visit our Health & Safety page.

When following our advice in our D.I.Y. videos, make sure you use all equipment, including PPE, safely by following the manufacturer’s instructions. Check that the equipment is suitable for the task and that PPE fits properly. If you are unsure, hire an expert to do the job or talk to a Bunnings Team Member.
