Add the Fiskars Happy Bee Set to your toolkit to keep the bees buzzing around your beautiful blooms.

Beauty and the bees

The sound of bees humming among the flowers is one of the most joyous signs that spring is here – and that your garden is acting as a haven for these beneficial little insects. As one of the world’s key pollinators, bees help promote biodiversity and ensure that the crops we rely upon for food survive.

Sadly, bee populations have been declining, but you can do your bit for your local bee community by making thoughtful choices in your garden, such as avoiding using pesticides, trimming your lawn less frequently and growing bee-friendly plants. Put simply, bees love flowers, particularly natives like bottlebrush and grevillea, and aromatic florals such as lavender.

The Happy Bee Set from Fiskars can help you on your way to a flower-filled plot. Consisting of a Solid Seed Planting Trowel and a Solid Floral Pruner, the set gives you two key tools to help place, propagate and nurture bee-friendly plants in your space.

Use the lightweight Planting Trowel, with its handy soil-depth measure and detachable dibber and widger, to help sow seeds, transplant delicate seedlings, and pop cuttings into pots to grow on, ready for planting out.

Then, keep your flowers flourishing with the Floral Pruner, perfect for deadheading and light pruning to promote healthy growth in your plants. This easy-to-use tool has precision-ground steel blades to keep them sharp for repeated use, soft-grip handles and a stem stripper in different sizes.

Check with your local Bunnings store to find out which bee-attracting plants grow well in your area, and help your community’s bees thrive on a beautiful, fragrant floral banquet.
