Create an instant garden with artificial plants

If you're time-poor but you want to add some greenery to your home, the Un-Real range of artificial hedges and plants may be for you. Nicole from Un-Real Plants highlights some ways to decorate your home, inside and out, with an artificial plant.

Instant garden privacy

If you want to add some privacy or shade to your garden, an artificial hedge is worth considering. Real hedges can take years to grow and require a lot of careful maintenance. Whereas artificial hedges are easy to put up and because they're U.V. resistant, they will look great for years to come.

Installing artificial hedge tiles

Attaching artificial hedge tiles along your fence or to your home is easier than you think.

If you have a wooden fence, Nicole recommends “screwing each corner of the tile to secure it to your fence, you then simply clip the hedge tiles together by matching the male and female clips, making sure you are attaching and securing the tiles at the top middle and bottom sections of the fence along the way” You can use cable ties as well to secure the product further.

Alternatively, you can also use a staple gun to attach the mesh backing to the fence beams.

To attach hedge panels to masonry walls like brick, cement or plaster, install wall plugs in your surface, and then put screws into them. You can clip together and use cable ties to assist.

Brighten up your indoors

Artificial indoor plants in pots are a great way to add some greenery to your home. Whether it's for an office or your living room, Nicole explains that “the benefits of artificial plants are that they don't need feeding or sunlight, they won't outgrow their pot or location and they need very little maintenance.”

Maintenance-free gardening

A great gardening tip is to add an artificial topiary plant to your garden beds and along any paths. It will help you to cut down on your garden maintenance by saving you from needing to train plants as well as shaping them. You also won't need to worry about the levels of sunlight that they need. If you put it in the right place within a thriving garden, no-one will know the difference!
