Oats mop cleaning up
Using the best mop for the job will keep your floors tidy and protect them from aging prematurely.

Timber and laminate floors

Flat or spin mops are ideal for timber and laminate floors because they use less water than yarn and sponge mops, which can leave floors saturated.

The Oates Spin & Clean Compact Mop & Bucket Set is ideal for apartments or homes with limited storage. It can reach into corners, has microfibre cleaning power and a scrubbing roller that removes dirt and hair.

The Oates Triple Action Flat Mop is a microfibre mop pad that can be used without chemicals. It is one compact unit with an extendable handle and swivel head that allows you to sweep, mop and dry floors.

Tiled and ceramic floors

For cleaning tiled floors, a yarn or sponge mop does the trick.

The Oats Massive Four Post Squeeze Mop has a wide, extra thick sponge, which provides greater coverage and absorbency. The extra-long scourer tackles stubborn marks, while the ergonomic locking nuts allow for easier fitting and removing of sponge refills.

The Oates Greentex Handled Yarn Mop absorbs more than five times its weight, releasing up to 40 percent upon wringing. Its professional quality yarn contains 70 percent pure green PET plastic bottle fibres and 30 percent post-consumer rayon/polyester.

Replace refills

Winter inevitably means mud and leaves tracked in, so now is the time to replace your mop’s refill. (Oates recommends changing every three months for optimal performance.)
