Deck with furniture and plants
If you've got a brand new deck, then you normally need to wait four to six weeks before you can apply the decking oil and stain of your choice. The team at Intergrain share how to skip the weathering process and enjoy your deck sooner using their products.

Why your deck needs to weather

When your deck is brand new, the timber is full of oils and tannins that need to leech out or else the oil and stain you use won't soak in properly.

How to skip the weathering process

Using Intergrain Tannin and Oil Remover, it's now possible to skip the weathering process—so you can go from brand new timber to a fully coated deck in just one day.

Intergrain Tannin and Oil Remover draws the tannins and oils out from the surface of the timber, mimicking the four to six week weathering process. Intergrain Reviva then removes these tannins and oils from the surface, leaving your decking look natural and ready to coat.

Enjoy your deck sooner

Health & Safety

Asbestos, lead-based paints and copper chromium arsenic (CCA) treated timber are health hazards you need to look out for when renovating older homes. These substances can easily be disturbed when renovating and exposure to them can cause a range of life-threatening diseases and conditions including cancer. For information on the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint and CCA treated timber and tips for dealing with these materials contact your local council's Environmental Health Officer or visit our Health & Safety page.
