A flexible charging cable left on the ground poses significant risks to the user, their family, and pedestrians, leading to trips, falls, and, even more concerning, the risk of electrocution due to cable damage (from heavy or sharp objects, pets, rodents, wear and tear over time, and especially contact with water or rain). The Barkan Electric Vehicle Charging Cable Wall Arm protects against these hazards by lifting the cable above head height, concealing most of it inside the mount, which serves as a “cable conduit," and shielding it from potential damage. The mount brings the charging handle to the vehicle at a convenient height for use, ensuring safe and hassle-free operation without obstructing the surroundings. It features a multi-purpose adjustable handle that can be set at an ideal height for charging, allowing easy movement of the mount, secure storage of the charging handle when not in use, tidy cable coiling, and neat attachment of the mount and cable to the wall when not in use. The handle and strap are a bright yellow color to prevent tripping hazards, even when charging the vehicle at night. The arm features a worldwide pending patent for cable protection, ease of use, and simple installation. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the mount is coated with high-quality zinc and UV additives, providing excellent resistance to rain and sun. It successfully passed a salt spray test, simulating five years of outdoor use. The mount is compatible with mobile and station charging cables with a diameter of up to 0.7" / 18 mm. It can be mounted on block, concrete, or wooden beams, or a square wooden pergola post with minimum dimensions of 4" / 10 cm. Recommended installation height: 86" / 220 cm. The product packaging is compact, ensuring easy and efficient transport. The package includes: a wall-mounted holder for the control box (the power adapter/transformer for mobile charging cables), quality screws and anchors for attaching the mount and control box holder to the wall, disassembled mount, an adjustable handle, and a strap. A separate adapter for mounting the arm onto round or square metal posts (ranging from 3"/ 7.5 cm to 6.2"/ 16 cm) is available for purchase separately.
