Reducing waste checklist
Bunnings is currently participating in the Batteryback program, a Victorian household battery recycling program. It is important to dispose of batteries responsibly as they contain heavy metals and when disposed of incorrectly they can contaminate soil and groundwater.
Since 2009, Bunnings customers have brought in over 15,400 kilograms of batteries for recycling. Batteryback recycling bins are currently located at the front of our Northland, Maribyrnong, Hawthorn, Epping, Croydon, Mentone, Fountain Gate, Scoresby, South Oakleigh and Sunbury Warehouses.
