Bunnings is choosing to Fight with the Big Freeze again this year. We’re lending a hand to create a future free from motor neurone disease, and you can too.

Founded in 2014, FightMND was established with the purpose of raising awareness and funding vital research to improve the quality of life and find treatments and, one day, a cure for those living with MND.

Bunnings is proud to be an ongoing supporter of FightMND, raising funds by selling Big Freeze 12 Beanies and additional products in our stores and online from Wednesday, 6th May.

We’re also holding a FightMND BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, 16th May at all stores nationally, with proceeds going towards funding MND research and care initiatives. Find out more here.

We recognise the considerable challenges that people living with MND and their families are faced with every day, with many of our team members and customers experiencing first-hand the impacts of this brutal disease.

Every year our team get behind this partnership with great enthusiasm, sharing photos of themselves wearing the Beanies with pride, decorating their in-store A-Frames and encouraging family and friends to support the campaign.

Bunnings is supporting local animal welfare and rescue groups in Australia.

Local groups will fundraise through sausage sizzles, host pet adoption days, and raise awareness through a range of activities. Plus, every store will run a free pet-themed Kids D.I.Y. Workshop and other fun-filled fundraising events across all stores.

This initiative connects thousands of pets with their forever homes while directly supporting animal rescue and welfare groups across the country.

Each November, Share the Dignity calls on Australians to ensure women and girls spending Christmas in domestic violence refuges and homeless shelters receive basic essentials through the It's in the Bag Christmas Appeal.

Purchase a virtual bag to allow Share the Dignity to assemble and distribute a bag on your behalf.

You can find out more about Share the Dignity and It's in the Bag here.

When natural disasters happen, Bunnings store teams are there to assist those in need through local hands-on activity, fundraising BBQs and product donations. When the recovery phase begins, our teams make it a priority to continue to actively support communities.

Salvos Flood Relief Fundraiser

In 2025, when communities in North and Far North Queensland and New South Wales were impacted by cyclones and floods, Bunnings was ready to fundraise and support the local community. Our store teams got behind the BBQ, hosting a national sausage sizzle, raising over $285,00 for GIVIT, who provide essential items for immediate relief, products to aid in the clean-up effort, and goods for families returning to their homes.

In addition, in response to the devastating floods and drought conditions that affected communities across NSW and VIC, Bunnings donated $175,000 to help with recovery efforts. $100,000 was donated to Rural Aid, which provides a range of services to support farming and rural communities before, during and after natural disasters, with drought conditions having a considerable impact in regional VIC and SA.

An additional $75,000 was donated to GIVIT, to help with relief efforts following floods in NSW.
