‘Teddy Bear’ is a beautiful evergreen tree with an upright compact conical frame. It has big oval shaped glossy green leaves with a velvety bronze underside to the leaf.
It flowers during summer and autumn with big white fragrant blooms reaching up to 200mm in diameter making it a perfect feature or hedge/screen plant in any garden.
‘Teddy Bear’ grows to approximately 4mts tall and 2mts wide in the first 10 years of growth. It can get larger with time but is very easily controlled with pruning and responds well to a good prune.
It loves full sun and heat and can withstand frost making it very hardy for Australian conditions.
Growing tip. Evergreen Magnolia’s are hungry. Feed with ‘All Purpose Fertiliser’ at the end of September (Grand final weekend) and feed again at the end of January (Australia day weekend). This will ensure your plant stays lush and flowers well every year.
