‘Silver Banksia’ is a fantastic, very hardy evergreen large shrub or small tree growing to approximately 5 – 8m tall and 3m wide.
It has matte grey-green leaves with the underside of the leaf a silver-white. The flowers are yellow, appearing from spring to autumn then develop into grey cones. The flowers attract nectar feeding birds.
‘Silver Banksia’ needs well drained soil and full sun is preferred, although it will take part shade. It is frost hardy, drought tolerant and is great by the coast taking salt laden winds.
It makes a great specimen and also good for screening.
