Yardgames 20cm (8 Inch) Handmade Teak Chess Pieces. Play Queens Gambit. This stunning set of handmade teak pieces is a perfect size for use in home or office. It makes an ideal centrepiece for tables, drawing the attention of your visitors! This stunning set is sealed in a medium brown and dark brown stain and treated with high gloss polyurethane. The thick stains help protect the pieces from the effects of the sun. The full range of colors is visible through the medium stain, and the wood grain is clear through the darker stain. The hand carved pieces are highly detailed and meticulously handcrafted by artisans to ensure they maintain their appearance. Handmade with off cuts from the teak furniture industry showing beautiful natural knots and grain variations the set includes 32 regulation pieces. These pieces are suitable for play indoors or outdoors but are recommended for indoor play due to the felt pads on the bases of each piece. Note board/playing table not included. All playing surfaces are available as options extras including standard Board and All in One Board with Case and Chess Table. Our sets are handmade so measurements can vary by ±10%. Please note that the board is sold separately. Optimum size = 10cm squares giving a total board size of 80cm x 80cm.
