How to Swap Out Your Toyota Key Case - Changing your Toyota key case is a straightforward task that anyone can tackle with minimal tools. You’ll need a small Phillips head screwdriver and just about a minute of your time. 1. Locate and remove the tiny screw on the back of the key remote. 2. Carefully take out the internal components, including the key transponder cover, circuit board, and key blade. 3. Place the circuit board, transponder, and transponder cover into the new key case. 4. Note that the key blade in this model is fixed and cannot be transferred. You’ll need to get a new key blade cut by an automotive locksmith or a service like Mister Minit. The old key blade cannot be reused. 5. Secure the new case by clicking it together and replacing the screw. Test the key to make sure everything is functioning correctly.
