Bonsai are essentially outdoor plants requiring a position open to all aspects of weather, fresh air, sun and rain, however they do require part shade in summer to protect from being burnt by strong sun. They can be brought inside for display for up to several weeks. Figs can stay indoors longer. Do not let bonsai plants dry out - keep moist at all times. Fertilise in spring & autumn, re-potting is done in winter when the plant is dormant.
