It is suitable for selected 12V and 24V applications, including dual battery systems, work utes, fleet vehicles, traffic control vehicle fitouts, 4WD builds, caravans, camper trailers and marine electrical systems. The cable can be used between compatible batteries, DC-DC chargers, battery isolators, fuse holders, circuit protection devices, inverters and other auxiliary electrical equipment where the cable specifications suit the system design. Manufactured with a 99.99% oxygen-free copper conductor, the cable uses a fine-strand construction of 112 strands x 0.3mm. This provides the flexibility required for routing through suitable vehicle and equipment layouts while maintaining the specified 7.91mm² conductor cross-section. The black V90-rated PVC insulation has a maximum insulation temperature of 90°C and is UV stabilised for use in suitable exposed applications. The cable is rated up to 110V and complies with AS/NZS 3808:2000 and RoHS requirements. The supplied current rating is up to 74A. Actual suitability depends on cable run length, installation method, ambient temperature, voltage drop requirements, electrical load and overall system design.
