The service

We can replace your existing hot water system with a Dux gas storage, Dux gas continuous flow or Dux electric storage water heater for you. The service is restricted to ground level residential installations only. Offer excludes solar, internal gas and in-ceiling water heaters.

This service includes delivery and installation of a compatible Dux product by a licenced plumber, and disconnection of the existing hot water system.

Same day and weekend installations for like-for-like replacements are available at selected stores and must be booked prior to 11am of the same day.

How to choose a hot water system

Here are some things to consider when looking to upgrade your hot water system.

The size of your home and family

Storage and solar hot water systems are sized according to how many people will be using them, compared to continuous flow hot water systems which are sized according to the number of outlets in the home.

Climate and available energy sources

Electricity, natural gas, LPG or solar? Depending on which water heating energy source is available, you'll need to consider how the cost of these sources might fluctuate throughout the year. 

Installation space

Will the system be installed inside or outside? If you’re moving to a solar hot water system (available at select NSW & QLD stores), will you have appropriate north-facing roof space for solar collectors?

Budget

Budget will also influence the system you purchase. Keep in mind that additional charges may occur on the day of installation based on the specific needs and requirements of your hot water system installation.

In most cases, a hot water system can be relocated to a new location. Installation pricing will be based on your individual installation requirements.
The installation service does not include the disposal of an old tank from site. However, this can be arranged for an additional charge.
Yes, this installation service is only available for Dux hot water systems purchased at Bunnings.

Delayed payment is available for this installation service. You are able to pay for your hot water system and installation directly to the plumber before your hot water system is installed.

Please note: Weekend Installations must be paid for in full by credit card when booking installation.

Like for like replacement hot water system installs are available for same day and weekend installations if organised before 11am.

Installations where a hot water system differs from the original system or is being relocated are not available for same day Installation due to a larger installation process.

‘Like for Like’ installation is where the system being replaced, and the new system being installed are of the same type, with no change to the location, size or energy supply of the unit.
