Ryobi Timber/Metal Door Lock Installation Kit

The RYOBI Timber/Metal Door Lock Installation Kit has the essential accessories to fit a new lock and deadbolt set on a metal-clad door. It helps with drilling precise holes, ensuring the latch meets the strike plate (metal plate on the door frame) accurately. This Kit contains a Bracket with an Auto-Strike Locator, 54mm Bi-Metal Hole Saw, Arbor with Pilot Bit, 25mm Spade Bit and Spade Bit Guide, 2.4mm Bronze Oxide Drill Bit, PH2/SL8-10 Double Ended Driving Bit and 2 x Mounting Screws. Eliminates guesswork The Bracket’s Auto-Strike Locator enables precise alignment between the door and strike plate, eliminating the need to take measurements. When secured to a door with its integrated clamp, the Bracket ensures holes are lined up correctly. The Bracket adjusts to work with standard 60mm and 70mm backsets*, in addition to common Australian door thicknesses of 35mm and 44mm. Enhanced precision To create the cross bore (large hole for the lock) and latch bore (smaller hole for the latch), pair the Hole Saw, Spade Bit, and Spade Bit Guide with a standard drill driver (not included). The Locator’s extra-deep cross bore guide improves stability during drilling, helping the Hole Saw, Arbor and Pilot Bit produce straighter, cleaner holes. The Spade Bit Guide keeps the Spade Bit centred to make a straight, precise latch hole. *Distance from the edge of a door to the centre of the bore hole.
