The RYOBI 18V ONE+ 82mm Planer gradually shaves off thin layers from timber workpieces to produce flat surfaces. It also creates angled edges (chamfers) on tabletops, shelves and trim, and cuts deep grooves (rebates) for joinery. Use this Planer to shave millimetres off a hinged door or window panel to restore clearance and a smooth close. For passionate woodworkers, it’s a great tool for restoring the look of aged or weathered timber slabs. Remove surface layers to get rid of uneven spots and reveal more natural colours hidden underneath. Various smart features make this Planer simple to adjust and operate for impressive results. Precise adjustments A depth adjustment knob allows precise changes in 0.1mm increments. It supports the gradual removal of thin layers - just what you need to get precise results from planing surfaces. Clean and consistent rebates Connect the rebate guide (fence) to produce clean and consistent rebates along straight-edged workpieces. It adjusts to a maximum 82mm rebate width. Three V-grooves on the base plate keep the Planer on a consistent angle to produce clean chamfers along workpieces. Each groove produces a chamfer at a different depth. Flexible debris management The dual chip exhausts and exhaust selector eject wood chips to the left or right and keep the workpiece cleaner. An included dust bag and dust port adaptor (for workshop vacs) give you flexible options for wood chip collection. Surface and blade protection When the Planer is not operating, the rear kickstand on the base lifts the blades when it is set down on surfaces. This feature protects the blades and prevents scratches to work pieces. Durable aluminium base The durable aluminium base stays flat under pressure and keeps the Planer light. It supports a smooth gliding action, preventing dipping or rocking. Safe starts The trigger lock-out button guards against accidental startups, promoting safer operation.
