SUITABLE FOR

-All garden soils, especially those that have been in cultivation for many years, will benefit from the addition of organic materials in the form of quality compost to improve soil texture and quality and nutrient availability

-Safe to use in soils that will be used for vegetables and herbs and as a mulch around edibles

-Safe to use for new plants - the organic content and controlled release of nutrients means it will not burn soft leaves or tender young roots

HOW TO USE

Prepare your garden soil before planting by thoroughly working a 10cm layer of Compost & Soil Improver into the top 15cm or so of soil with a rake. Close the bag tightly after use
Add another 10cm layer of compost to the bed and mix it into the previously amended soil. This should create a 15-20cm raised bed.
Use as a mulch after planting (excellent for mulching around edibles)
Water thoroughly after planting and as frequently as possible until plants are established
For best results, after three months feed with Scotts Osmocote® Controlled release Fertiliser for Vegetables, Tomatoes, Herbs & Garden Beds
Maximum application rates:
Sensitive plants 25L/m2
Tolerant plants 90L/m2

WHEN TO USE

Whenever soil is being prepared for new plantings
At the start of Summer as a mulch to protect bare soils, reduce evaporation and insulate soils
