For best results, apply a thin, even coat of leaf adhesive or size to a clean surface and allow it to become tacky (30-60 minutes) before applying copper leaf. Gently smooth the leaf with a soft brush, brush away any excess, then seal with a suitable leaf sealer or oil-based varnish if extra protection is needed. Make sure your work surface is clean 2. Use a soft brush to apply a thin, even coat of leafing size/leaf adhesive 3. Allow size to set until tacky (usually 30-60 minutes) 4.
