Used around the perimeter of a HardieDeck deck. It secures the outer most edge of the board to the frame. It also hides the machined groove on the long edges of the standard HardieDeck board.

Fascia edge caps have an extra piece of black aluminium that's visible when viewing the deck from the side. This allows fascia boards, which can be HardieDeck or cladding, slot into a channel on the edge cap before running downwards.

The channel hides the edge of the fascia board and acts as a drip edge.
