An important element of the GARDENA Pipeline System, the GARDENA Drain Valve prevents frost damage to the underground system by automatically draining when the system is not in use. The valve opens when the water pressure is under approx. 0.2 bar allowing any residual water to drain. Drain Valves should be installed at the lowest point or points of the irrigation system, and ideally installed on a bed of washed coarse gravel.
