Our Journey with Forestwest

Our story began long before Forestwest was established. With over a decade of experience in machinery and tools, we built strong relationships with leading factories across forestry, woodworking, metalworking, and construction industries. This foundation allowed us to develop innovative products, including the Kinetic Log Splitter in collaboration with a respected US partner. From the start, our focus has been on delivering reliable, high-quality equipment while continuously expanding our range.

Growing in Australia

In 2015, we brought Forestwest to Australia, opening our first branch in Perth, Western Australia. By working directly with manufacturers, we reduced costs and passed those savings on to our customers without compromising quality. Every product is tested under Australian conditions to ensure durability and performance, helping us quickly build trust and a loyal customer base.

Expansion and Innovation

As demand grew, particularly from the eastern states, we opened our Melbourne, Victoria branch in 2018. At the same time, we continued improving our products based on customer feedback. This hands-on approach has led to ongoing refinements, including enhancements to our Kinetic Log Splitter to better handle Australia’s tough hardwood.

Entering North America

Building on our success in Australia, we expanded into North America in 2020 with a branch in Ontario, Canada, followed by a warehouse in New Jersey, USA. We continue to develop products suited to these markets, maintaining the same commitment to quality and innovation.

Forestwest Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy

At Forestwest, we work with trusted freight carriers to provide reliable delivery across Australia.

1. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and will be shown at checkout before payment is completed.
The total price displayed at checkout includes the applicable product price, GST, and delivery charges.

2. Shipping Options

The available delivery options may vary depending on the product, delivery location, and order type.

2.1 Door-to-Door Delivery

We offer standard delivery to the customer’s nominated delivery address through our freight carrier network.

3. Authority to Leave

Deliveries may be sent with Authority to Leave instructions where appropriate. This allows the courier to leave the item in a safe location if no one is available to receive the delivery.
Customers may include delivery instructions at checkout. We will pass these instructions to the carrier where possible.

4. Dispatch Time

Orders placed through Bunnings Marketplace are typically dispatched within 2 business days of receiving order confirmation from the Bunnings Marketplace platform.
If there are any unexpected issues or delays with an order, we will notify the customer through the Bunnings Marketplace platform as soon as possible.

5. Tracking Information

Tracking information will be provided once the order has been processed and dispatched.

6. Delivery and Inspection

Customers are encouraged to inspect their goods as soon as possible after delivery.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or if there are any concerns with the delivery, customers should contact us through the Bunnings Marketplace platform with their order details and photos of the item and packaging where applicable.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights customers may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Forestwest Return Policy

Return Policy
1. Change of Mind Returns - 14 Day Limit
1.1 General Policy

Goods bought from Forestwest can be returned within 14 days from the date of receipt for change of mind.

To be eligible for a change of mind return:

1.1.1 The item must be unused;
1.1.2 The item must be in its original packaging;
1.1.3 The item must be in a resalable condition;
1.1.4 The return request must be made within 14 days from the date of receipt.

Clearly mark your name and contact details on the return package.

The item must be packaged so that the return label is attached to the outer wrapping and not directly to the product or its packaging.

Ensure the item is packed securely to help prevent damage during transit.

Items that are used, damaged, or not in their original packaging may not be accepted for change of mind return, unless required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Once the product is received and inspected, a refund of the product price will be issued to the customer, subject to the conditions above.

Original delivery charges may not be refundable for change of mind returns, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Specific Situations for Returns
2.1 Faulty Goods

If goods are faulty, damaged, or do not meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, customers should contact us via the Contact Seller link in the Bunnings order confirmation email.

Photos and/or videos of the item may be requested to assist in the return process.

Minor faults may be repaired or replaced within an agreed timeframe. If the fault cannot be resolved, or if required under the Australian Consumer Law, customers may choose a refund, replacement, or other appropriate remedy.

Once the return is authorised, Forestwest will arrange the return process where a return is required.

For faulty goods, customers will not be required to pay return freight costs where a return is required.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the product is packaged securely to help prevent damage during the return process.

2.2 Incorrect Items Supplied

If the customer receives an incorrect item, they should contact us via the Contact Seller link in the Bunnings order confirmation email.

Photos of the item received may be requested to assist in confirming the issue.

Once confirmed, Forestwest will arrange a replacement, refund, or other appropriate solution.

For incorrect items supplied by Forestwest, customers will not be required to pay return freight costs where a return is required.

2.3 Incorrectly Bought Goods / Incorrectly Ordered Goods

Incorrectly bought or incorrectly ordered goods may be returned as a change of mind return if:

2.3.1 The goods are unused;
2.3.2 The goods are in their original packaging;
2.3.3 The goods are in a resalable condition;
2.3.4 The return request is made within 14 days from the date of receipt.

Once the product is received and inspected, a refund of the product price will be issued to the customer, subject to the conditions above.

Original delivery charges may not be refundable for incorrectly bought or incorrectly ordered goods, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Non-Returnable Situations

Change of mind returns are only accepted up to 14 days after receipt.

Custom-made goods, such as modified or cut-to-length items, may not be returned for change of mind, unless required under the Australian Consumer Law.

This does not limit any rights customers may have under the Australian Consumer Law for faulty, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed goods.
