Built-in rare earth magnets provide strong holding power on metal surfaces, allowing stable, hands-free use when working with pipes, conduit and steel materials. The V-groove edge further improves stability by fitting securely to rounded surfaces (including pipes) for more accurate readings. Measurement markings enable quick, accurate layout and alignment without reaching for a separate ruler. They’re great for confirming short distances, marking out positions and cut lines. The True Blue® vials are produced using Empire’s most advanced manufacturing processes, including precision grinding, drilling and machining for reliable accuracy. Their unique design darkens the outer edge of the bubble, improving visibility and making readings easier to interpret in both bright and low-light conditions. Vials at 0°, 45° and 90° allow accurate checks across various measuring positions. Top and bottom read windows provide an easy view of the vials from multiple angles. The vari-pitch vial makes it simple to measure slopes and falls, with clearly defined lines marking 10mm per metre increments up to 40mm. This wider measurement range supports greater precision when setting out falls for plumbing, drainage and similar applications.
