Dog Nation Shipping Policy

We ship Australia-wide using Australia Post. All products are dispatched within 2 business days (Mon–Fri, excluding public holidays). Orders are sent via Australia Post Standard Post by default and we do provide Authority To Leave (ATL).

Delivery timeframes (after dispatch):
Standard Post typically arrives in 2–8 business days depending on your location (metro areas are usually faster; regional/remote areas may take longer). Express Post generally arrives faster than Standard, but exact timeframes depend on the Australia Post network and are not guaranteed. Public holidays, extreme weather, and carrier delays can affect delivery times.

Tracking & notifications:
You’ll receive a shipping confirmation with your tracking number once your parcel is on the way. You can track progress via the Australia Post website/app. Australia Post may safe-drop your parcel where appropriate; otherwise, a collection card will be left.

Shipping costs:
Postage is calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and the service you choose (Standard or Express). Any promotional free-shipping offers will be applied automatically if your order qualifies.

Address changes & delivery issues:
If you need to update your address, please reach out before your order ships. Once a parcel is in transit, it can’t be rerouted. If your tracking shows “delivered” but you can’t locate the parcel, first check with household members, neighbours, and any safe-drop locations, then contact Australia Post. If you still need help, please contact us via the “Contact Seller” link in your Bunnings order confirmation email with your order number and tracking link.

Split shipments, pre-orders & multiple packages:
At times, multi-item orders may be shipped in multiple packages. This can happen when items are sourced from different warehouses depending on stock availability. You’ll receive a separate tracking number for each parcel, and deliveries may arrive on different days. This doesn’t change our 3-business-day dispatch window per item. If your order includes a pre-order or back-order item, we may ship the entire order together when everything is ready, unless otherwise stated on the product page. If you’d like in-stock items sent first, please contact us via the “Contact Seller” link in your Bunnings order confirmation email—additional postage may apply.

Damaged or missing items:
If your parcel arrives damaged, or an item is missing, please contact us via the “Contact Seller” link in your Bunnings order confirmation email within 7 days of delivery and include photos plus your order number so we can investigate quickly with Australia Post and make it right.

Returns & exchanges:
For information on returning or exchanging products, please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy. (Note: choosing Express Post speeds up delivery time after dispatch but does not change our 3-business-day dispatch window.)

Dog Nation Return Policy

At Dog Nation, we want you and your dog to love your gear. If something isn’t quite right, you can request a return or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order. To be eligible, items must be unused, unwashed, undamaged and free of fur or odours. Personalised or engraved products (such as custom collars and ID tags) aren’t eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges unless faulty.

If you need a different size or colour, we’re happy to arrange an exchange within the 30-day window. For exchanges, all products must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Return postage for change-of-mind or sizing exchanges is covered by the customer; we’ll send the replacement using our standard method (express upgrades are available at cost). Sizing issues aren’t considered faults, but our team is always available to help you choose the right fit before you send anything back.

Refunds are considered where goods arrive damaged, are significantly different from their description, or are not fit for their intended purpose. Once your return is received and inspected, approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Shipping fees (including express surcharges) are non-refundable. For discounted bundles or sets, returning only part of the bundle may affect the final refund amount; we’ll confirm the best option with you before proceeding.

Colour and finish can vary slightly due to lighting, screens and manufacturing processes. By purchasing, you acknowledge minor variance is possible. Damage caused by improper use, chewing, modification, cleaning errors (including heat damage from dryers), normal wear and tear, or failure to follow care instructions is not considered a fault. For hygiene and safety reasons, opened consumables and certain care items may not be eligible for return unless faulty.

To start a return, please contact us via the “Contact Seller” link in your Bunnings order confirmation email with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and a brief explanation (please include photos for damaged or faulty items). We’ll reply with the steps and the return address. Please use a tracked service and pack items securely to prevent damage in transit; we can’t take responsibility for parcels lost on their way back to us.

We adhere to the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
