How to add texture to your walls with Laminex

Adding texture to the walls introduces warmth and interest to a room and dials up the style. Just like paint, it’s also easy to do it yourself! Easy transformation

Surround by Laminex is a D.I.Y.-friendly product that is simple to use. The panels are durable MDF sheets that connect seamlessly with a tongue-and-groove system. Secure panels to the wall with construction adhesive and nails or screws, fill any holes, and then simply paint the pre-primed panels in the colour – or colours – of your choice.

Get inspired

If you’re looking to liven up your walls, think about the effect you’re aiming for. Continuous use of textured panels on every wall of a room creates a harmonious backdrop, while a single feature wall uses contrast to make a statement. Applying panels to only half of a wall is an ideal way to add textural interest to hallways; in a bedroom, this effect can act as an oversized bedhead. The only limit is your imagination!

  • Before nailing or drilling into walls, use a stud finder to check for wiring or pipework, and turn off the power before working. If unsure, call a professional.
