/Most toolboxes include the absolute essentials. However, there’s a world of lesser-known equipment out there that can help you power through projects with precision and ease, or broaden the scope of what you can tackle. Here are a few of our favourites.
These quality (and affordable) tools offer the power and flexibility you need to get the job done quickly and efficiently, whether you’re building a new deck, renovating a bathroom or installing a new fence.
One of the key benefits of the PXC 36V range is its ability to deliver 36V power using the same PXC 18V batteries. This means you can easily switch between tools without having to worry about recharging batteries or carrying around multiple battery packs.
Simply insert two PXC 18V batteries into the tool, and the technology will automatically combine their power to deliver 36V output. This means you can tackle tougher jobs with ease, such as cutting through thick timber or grinding metal.
Some products are not available at all Bunnings stores, but may be ordered.

Asbestos, lead-based paints and copper chromium arsenic (CCA) treated timber are health hazards you need to look out for when renovating older homes. These substances can easily be disturbed when renovating and exposure to them can cause a range of life-threatening diseases and conditions including cancer. For information on the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint and CCA treated timber and tips for dealing with these materials contact your local council's Environmental Health Officer or visit our Health & Safety page.
When following our advice in our D.I.Y. videos, make sure you use all equipment, including PPE, safely by following the manufacturer’s instructions. Check that the equipment is suitable for the task and that PPE fits properly. If you are unsure, hire an expert to do the job or talk to a Bunnings Team Member.
