- Content protection: the textile filter reduces the amount of chalk lost if the bag is dropped or knocked over.
- Carrying comfort: adjustable belt. Its elastic design provides better climbing comfort
- Easy transport: drawstring to avoid spilling chalk everywhere in the bag.
- User comfort: the fleece lining provides comfort.
This chalk bag reduces the amount of chalk lost if the bag is dropped by accident (-55% according to our tests) or knocked over. Ideal for climbing indoors, at home or outdoors.
Key benefits:
• Content protection: The textile filter reduces the amount of chalk lost if the bag is dropped or knocked over.
• Carrying comfort: Adjustable belt. Its elastic design provides better climbing comfort
• Easy transport: Drawstring to avoid spilling chalk everywhere in the bag.
• User comfort: The fleece lining provides comfort.
Technical information:
WHAT'S THE POINT OF ADDING A FILTER?: A study conducted by Darmstadt Technical University shows that the climber's environment is charged at PM 10 due to chalk in the air. In parallel, we've noticed that chalk bags can easily be accidentally knocked over on the floor, at the foot of bouldering walls/climbing walls.
In this case, the climber wastes chalk and also contributes to the PM10 air charge.
That's why, to reduce this chalk loss risk, our engineers have designed a textile filter, built into the chalk bag. ; DOESN'T THE FILTER MAKE IT HARDER TO GET YOUR HAND IN TO CHALK UP?: Well, that was the challenge to take on!
After several prototypes and tests, here's the winning formula:
➡1 highly elastic and smooth fabric to avoid snags on the hand when it goes into the bag;
➡1 slit across the entire middle section, so that the hand can be put in easily;
It's sure that it'll always be slightly easier to get your hand into a chalk bag without a filter, but after several field tests with climbers, we've successfully overcome the challenge! ; HOW WAS THIS 55% DIFFERENCE MEASURED?: Here's the test that we used to confirm the efficacy of the "Chalk barrier" filter
1 - We put the same amount of chalk into a Vertika Chalk Barrier bag and a Vertika chalk bag;
2- We dropped the chalk bags from a height of 1.4 metres, 10 times;
3 - We measured the ...
